I fell in love with stories when I was in seventh grade.

I started a new school where I knew no one. The library was where I found solace. I devoured book after book, consumed by the satisfaction of a good story. That year in literacy class, I wrote my first story. It was soapy and emotional, and I was so proud when I got to read it in front of the class.

Then at the end of my eighth-grade year, I wrote an exit essay about leaving middle school behind as I looked forward to the start of high school. That essay made my teacher cry, and that's when I knew I wanted to tell stories.

Stories that could make people cry. And then make them laugh through their tears. Ones that break their hearts, and then carefully put them back together. Ones that they’ll hold close after the story is over because for a little while it helped them escape.

That’s my goal here. And this is my journey to publication and getting these stories into your hands.

I hope that you will subscribe to my mailing list so I can personally send you updates on my writing life. It is a once-a-month newsletter with all the info about where I’m at in this journey, along with other tidbits about what I’m reading, watching or doing.

I hope you’ll stick around. I’d love to get to know you.

Best,
Lindsey.
